Privacy Policy — Horizon Tracker

Overview

Horizon Tracker is a sobriety counter and daily motivation app built by Horizon Studios LLC. It helps you track your sobriety date, visualize your progress, and stay motivated with daily quotes and milestone badges. Your privacy matters to us, and we have built Tracker with a privacy-first approach from day one.

Data Collection

Horizon Tracker collects only the data necessary to provide its core features. When you create an account, we store the following information in Firebase Firestore:

  • Your sobriety date
  • Drink statistics and tracking data you enter
  • App preferences and theme selections
  • Authentication credentials (email address or linked sign-in provider)

We do not collect:

  • Your location
  • Your contacts
  • Device identifiers for advertising
  • Analytics or behavioral tracking data
  • Any data for the purpose of selling to third parties

Data Storage

If you use Tracker without creating an account, all data is stored locally on your device. If you create an account, your data is synced to Firebase Firestore so it can be accessed across your iOS and Android devices. Firebase servers are operated by Google and comply with industry-standard security practices.

Third-Party Services

Horizon Tracker uses the following third-party services:

  • Firebase Authentication — for account creation and sign-in (email/password, Google Sign-In, and Apple Sign-In)
  • Firebase Firestore — for cloud data sync across devices
  • Apple StoreKit — for processing premium subscription purchases on iOS
  • Google Play Billing — for processing premium subscription purchases on Android

These services are used solely to provide app functionality. We do not use any advertising SDKs, analytics platforms, or tracking services.

Purchases

Horizon Tracker offers optional premium subscriptions for additional themes. All purchases are processed through Apple's App Store or Google Play. We never see, collect, or store your payment information. Your subscription status is managed entirely by the platform.

Children's Privacy

Horizon Tracker does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. The app is safe for all ages because it collects minimal personal data and contains no advertising, behavioral tracking, or social features directed at children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through an account, please contact us at jeff@horiz.studio and we will promptly delete it.

Data Retention

Data stored locally on your device is entirely under your control. Deleting the app removes all local data. If you have created an account with cloud sync, you can request deletion of your cloud data by contacting us at jeff@horiz.studio. We will delete your account and all associated data within 30 days.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
