Common Questions

How does the 12-hour budget work?

You start each puzzle with 12 hours on the clock (10 in hard mode). Every wrong letter costs you 1 hour. If the clock hits zero, the game is over. The goal is to guess the word with as much time remaining as possible.

How does hard mode work?

Hard mode gives you a different word, only 10 hours, and requires every guess to be a real word from the 8,506-word dictionary. It also introduces Burn Daylight (lose extra time for repeated wrong guesses) and Last Stand (final guess mechanics when time is critical).

How do I share my results?

After completing a puzzle, tap the Share button. Your results are formatted as block characters with a moon-to-sun progress bar, similar to Wordle sharing. No spoilers — just your performance.

What do the sun indicators mean?

A rising sun appears above each column to show how close your guess is. The color ranges from deep orange (far off) to bright gold (very close). There are 5 feedback levels: Cold (8+ away), Cool (5-7), Warm (3-4), Hot (1-2), and Correct.
